According to her website livboeree.com. Liv is considered one of the world’s best female poker players, and is the most successful British female poker player with over $2,100,000 in live tournament cashes to date. She discovered poker after applying for a TV show (Ultimate Poker Showdown, Channel 5) in August 2005. The premise of the show was finding five complete poker novices and training them how to play. During the filming of the show, Liv decided the best way to learn the basics of tournament poker was to enter a few tournaments at local London poker room known then as “The Gutshot Club”. Astonishingly, she won one of the very first tournaments she played there – the infamous £5 rebuy Beginner’s night. From that moment she knew she’d discovered the game she loved and soon became a regular face at the club, even managing to win the same £5 rebuy tournament a few months later!
