Scott Seiver (born April 14, 1985 in Columbus, Ohio) is a professional poker player from Cold Spring Harbor, New York, now residing in Las Vegas, Nevada who won the 2008 World Series of Poker $5,000 No Limit Hold’em event and is the winner of the $25,100 buy-in High Roller event at the 2010 L.A. Poker Classic. On April 29, 2015 Seiver became the 9th player in GPI history to be ranked #1. Seiver excels in table talk while playing tournament and cash game poker and frequently uses banter to his advantage. His mastery of poker table talk has earned him the nickname “The Deipnosophist”.

Scott Seiver moved to Las Vegas as a poker professional just before the start of the 2008 World Series of Poker. Unknown to him at the time, he would soon be adorning his wrist with a coveted bracelet. He started the Series by cashing in two events, and then went on to win the $5,000 buy-in no-limit hold’em event for almost $756,000.
Seiver is also an accomplished online player known as “gunning4you” on PokerStars and “mastrblastr” on Full Tilt.
